10 Quick Explanations About Why You Suffer from Acne

from: MultiSkinCare.com

Millions of people from all walks of life suffer with acne. From moderate to severe, acne is often present on almost any skin type, and some of the common things we do just end up exacerbating the problem.

Diets high in fats and sugars will contribute to breakouts. Having a poor immune system, a slow metabolic system and a lethargic lifestyle will all increase the odds of experiencing acne. The better you eat and the healthier you are, the less acne you'll have.

Although science is torn on the true effects of stress, it is the popular consensus that stress can manifest itself in negative ways. One of these ways in people prone to acne is to increase the acne. Feeling the stress of life can trigger breakouts.

Your face is a literal magnet for dirt and oil. These substances clog the pores, causing them to become inflamed and oxygen deprived. This is a major trigger of acne. So if you want to stay free and clear, wash your face regularly and keep it clean.

In both men and women, hormones in the body have a tendency to go bonkers sometimes. Any imbalance dealing with hormonal levels may result in an acne breakout, either moderate or severe.

Just like having poor hygiene, constantly touching the face can have negative effects on your skin. Getting dirt and grime packed into your pores is going to contribute to the acne-causing bacteria that you really want to avoid at all costs.

Perspiration is how the body cleanses itself, and this includes the skin. As the body's largest organ, the skin needs to breathe and sweat to remain healthy. If you're not sweating, your pores may remain clogged. This can cause acne on various parts all over the body.

Body acne, like pimples on your arms, shoulders and back, can arise due to wearing tight clothing. The constant rubbing of the clothing against your skin can irritate pores. It can cause the root of a hair to become infected, the result of which is a nasty blemish that's much harder to get rid of than a zit.

When you squeeze on a pimple, only a small portion of the oil actually releases through the surface of the blemish. The majority of the goo and gunk is actually being pushed back into the skin, causing it to spread throughout the layer and reemerge in multiple other areas.

Dust mites, dander and other particles from the air will settle on your pillow cases over time. When your face is in direct contact with the pillow, you're picking up every bit of that bacteria as you sleep. Make sure to wash your pillow cases to avoid this.

Anything that can clog up the pores is known as comedogenic. Obviously, to keep your pores free and clean of clogs, you want a makeup product that is specifically billed as non-comedogenic. If you cannot find this type of product, be sure that you're constantly washing your face thoroughly to prevent clogs.

Once you figure out how you're getting acne, you can figure out how to limit it. Use the tips listed above in order to help you fight back against those worrisome zits that plague us all.
