Have Acne? Skin Care That Works
from: MultiSkinCare.comWhen you have acne, it can be an embarrassing, annoying habit to deal with. Not only must you deal with the personal implications of acne, but you must also treat it. You shouldn't have to worry that the treatments are causing damage to your skin as well. Here are some things you can do to treat your acne, as well as to generally protect your skin.
1. Use aloe vera and other home remedies to clear your skin. Natural remedies can be made cheaply and safely in your home and do not have any of the side effects that other treatments can have. Not only that, but natural remedies can be used in addition to other treatments so that you are able to feel more confident that your skin will clear soon.
Lemon water is a great way to clear your skin, as are strawberries. If you want to try a facial mask, some people have good luck with natural remedies such as egg white masks and honey masks. Do your own research to find more natural remedies you can try, and the best part is that you can try them out right away if you have the ingredients on hand already.
2. Choose your cleanser and lotion carefully. This is especially true with lotion, since a lot of people are afraid to use it if they have acne. You may think that lotion makes your skin greasy and traps in bacteria and oils that can aggravate your skin; that is not true if you choose a water based moisturizer, or one that is natural.
3. Don't pop pimples or touch your face too often. It can be extremely tempting to just pop a whitehead when you see one pop up, but the truth is that it can spread bacteria to the rest of your face, and it can lead to scarring. Be very careful when you have a pimple; if you don't touch it, it will resolve on its own. Generally it is not good for your hands to be touching your face that much anyway, as you transfer bacteria from your fingers to your face.
4. Use soothing, medicated agents. If you use hypo-allergenic products, you are guaranteed to see a difference in the way your skin looks. Because they are much less irritating than other cleansers, it can be wise for anyone to use them in their skin care routine. Another thing to think about is that you might not even realize you could be allergic to regular cleansers. Switching to hypo-allergenic problems might be just the solution you need.
5. Choose your sunscreen well. Everyone needs to wear sunscreen when out and about, but you have to be very careful that you choose sunscreen that will not irritate your skin and your acne. To find a sunscreen that won't aggravate your skin, do a bit of Internet research.
When you have acne you don't want to have to worry about the treatments causing more trouble than the acne did. Use the tips here to protect your skin and to handle your acne problems. Always keep good skin care in your thoughts, and your skin will start to clear.
