How Can You Reduce Your Acne?

from: MultiSkinCare.com

Getting rid of your acne is possible, if you are ready to make a few changes to your lifestyle. Read this article and start getting rid of your bad habits!

Your diet can influence your complexion. Do you eat a lot of fast food or processed foods? Get rid of these aliments. Eat fruits and vegetables instead, and look for foods rich in chromium and Vitamin A. You should drink eight glasses of water a day: avoid coffee, alcohol and sodas. Stay away from snacks and anything that contains chemicals. Start planning your meals in advance and talk with a nutritionist if you are having difficulties with making changes to your diet.

Do you have any bad habits such as drinking or smoking? These products introduce toxins in your system, which clog your pores and cause breakouts. You should stop smoking if you can, and stay away from alcohol or coffee. If you have a lot of toxins in your system, eliminate them by drinking plenty of water and sweating. Get some exercise or go to a sauna once a week. Sweating will unclog your pores and help you get rid of all the toxins in your system: remember to do this regularly.

Feeling stressed can lead to breakouts. When you feel stressed, you tend to smoke more or to drink more coffee and your body responds to the stress by producing more hormones. This can result in hormonal unbalances and cause break outs. You can stay in control of this by avoiding stressful situations or learning stress management techniques to reduce your stress reactions. If you are a woman, taking birth control pills is a good way to avoid hormonal unbalances and breakouts.

Perhaps your breakouts are allergic reactions to products your skin is regularly in contact with. Try using a soap with a neutral PH and stop using hair styling products: gels and mousses will clog your pores. Perhaps your moisturizer is making your skin too oily, or your anti-acne creams are drying your skin and causing an excessive production of oil to compensate. Replace your laundry detergent with another brand and stop using a fabric softener. Make changes and monitor the results to find out which products are having a negative effect on your skin.

Keep your face and anything that touches it as clean as possible. This means you should wash your pillowcase and towels pretty much everyday and avoid wearing scarves and hats. Keep your hands away from your face and wash them regularly. Purchase a soap with a neutral PH and wash your face with it every morning and every night. Use a clean towel to gently pat your face dry. If you have long hair, keep it clean and style it backward or up so it does not touch your face. Through cleaning and avoiding contact with your face, you can avoid spreading oil and bacterias.

Use these simple tips and your breakouts should be greatly diminished. Go see a good dermatologist if your acne does not go away.
